About Us
Beowulf Galleries specialises in contemporary and historic fine art, sculpture, ceramics and objects dárt with botanical, naturalist or ethnographic themes. The gallery actively supports and exhibits the works of emerging artists alongside established artists. The gallery's ongoing theme is the interaction and interdependency of man, art and nature.
The gallery has been trading since July 2000 and is located at 23 Queen Street, Woollahra, in the heart of Sydney's famous established art and antique street.
Beowulf Galleries will appeal to the discerning collector or professional designer with an eye for the unique.

The gallery also hosts Bonsai Exotique, a nursery specialising in high quality and rare bonsai trees and pots.

Principals:
The gallery director, Dianne McGowan (B.Sc.hon, B.A.), is also a doctoral candidate at the Centre for Cross Cultural Studies at the Australian National University in Canberra. She is an accomplished interior designer, noted for her flair in combining diverse elements into intergrated themes and provides professional consultation services in this area.
Thor Beowulf (B.Soc.Stud., B.A.) is the gallery principal. He is also currently a PhD candidate at the Australian National University in Canberra, researching the art and aesthetics of bonsai and the cross-cultural dynamics of nature as art. He is an accomplished bonsai grower and artist whose works can be viewed at the gallery.
Katherine Panin was born in Shanghai, China, and has a lifetime of experience in Chinese art and culture and is multilingual.
